Campuses & facilities
The College is spread across two campuses - Woodlane in Falmouth and Tremough in Penryn, along with an Annex at Wellington Terrace (for Foundation Diploma students), and Arwenack Avenue (for MA Fine Art: Contemporary Practice students). You will soon become familiar with the campus where you are studying but it's a good idea to explore both campuses early on, so you can take full advantage of the academic support, libraries, sport and recreational activities on offer.
Our Woodlane Campus in Falmouth is home to light and airy studio spaces, fashion studio, graphic design suites and an outdoor sculpture canopy. Its on-site bar and refectory, subtropical gardens and relaxed, friendly atmosphere means that students tend to spend more than just your average 9-5 here. Woodlane is close to Falmouth's town centre with a wide variety of shops, bars, coffee shops and galleries, and it has good bus links to the Tremough Campus. The Woodlane Campus is a 10-minute walk from Falmouth Town railway station.
Owned and jointly managed with the University of Exeter - Tremough is the hub of the Combined Universities in Cornwall project and over £105 million of European and other funding has been invested in its development. The Tremough Campus is constantly evolving and substantial investment sees several major building projects scheduled to run concurrently over the next two years. These impressive new facilities reflect our ongoing committment to research, technology, entrepreneurialism, collaboration, sustainability, and student employability. This unique blend of investments, from both University College Falmouth and external partners, will put Tremough at the forefront of innovation in the UK.
Our new £19M Performance Centre is an exceptional purpose-built facility for Music, Dance and Theatre students, practitioners and researchers, designed to encourage collaborative and cross-disciplinary partnerships. Our Photography Centre houses a range of facilities to support both traditional silver-based imaging as well as the latest in digital photography. The Media Centre is equipped with a wide range of technology, matching that used by today's media industry employers. The Design Centre includes custom-built workshops and facilities for 3D production, wood, metal/fine metals, ceramics and glass, woven and printed textiles, and interior design. The open-plan layout encourages staff and students to share ideas and techniques.
The Tremough Campus includes student residences, a sports centre, the Stannary refectory and bar, a launderette, and a shop selling day to day essentials. It has great bus links to Falmouth and our Woodlane Campus and is close to Penryn railway station.
